Our Blog Site - A New Beginning

Salam...

Announcing the setting-up of our blog for "TKC Old Girls News". This is a site where news on TKC old girls or old girls activities will be posted by the OGA Public Relations sub-committee.

No doubt announcements can be sent direct to the tkcoga yahoogroup, but the yahoogroup is only accessible to group members, whereas our blog is accessible to anyone on the net... who knows, that "anyone" may be someone who has lost touch with her TKC friends and is surfing the net finding ways and means on how to get any info on her alma mater.

Those of you who aren't the "surfing" type, not to worry, any postings sent to the TKC blog will automatically be sent to the tkcoga yahoogroup. If you wish to comment on any of the postings, go to our blog site at http://tkcoga.blogspot.com , click on the comments link for whichever posting you wish to comment on, and post your comments there.

Not much postings yet for you to comment on, but you can always start with this one... :-)

More highlights from the OGA coming soon!

Lets start little now...to achieve big finally!!

Hi there gang,

It is very important in life that we do as many things that we desire. Get our hands dirty! Get out of our comfort zone.

Meet friends. Do things together. The more active we are, the more joy we will derive from life.

Share every little good that we have with others. That's how our life becomes more fulfilling and meaningful. That's the way one gets inner peace...doing the little good things that one can. Don't wait for the perfect moment to do the one big elusive deed. That might not arrive! Do the simple little things that are achievable....little things add to become big finally.

Come on then, let's start little now...share on our brand new blog that Pi has organised on the nudge from a few of us! Thanks my dear!

Hugs,
Ruby Ahmad.

KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) -- Prof Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman, who heads Universiti Malaya's infectious diseases unit, became the first individual to receive the Swarovski Award's "Life Ball Crystal of Hope" for her untiring efforts in the fight against AIDS.

The university in a statement today said Dr Adeeba, from the department of medicine, received the award from Hollywood actress and singer Liza Minnelli at one of Europe's largest AIDS charity events in Vienna, Austria recently.

During the event, Dr Adeeba also received an endowment of 100,000 Euro (about RM450,000) from Life Ball on behalf of TREAT Asia Project (Therapeutics Research, Education and AIDS Training in Asia), of which she is one of its steering committee members.

Our blog site...

After being "hassled" and getting my arm twisted (ouch, that hurts!), I finally created this blog... just for us TKC old girls. It'll be a shame if our blog comes up blank, so girls, keep those postings coming, okay?
